|Dwight David "Ike" Eisenhower was the 34th President of the United States from 1953 until 1961. He had previously been a five-star general in the United States Army during World War II and served as Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces in Europe.|
I had planned on using the same nickname for baby #2, but when the time came, I just couldn't do it. I mean, what's going to happen when I get to Heaven and meet Eisenhower? He's going to be all offended that I gave someone else his name!
These are things I think about.
Anyway, the name Charlemagne just came to me one day. I was on the phone with Mary and had to be like, "Um, was he a good guy or a bad guy?" But you don't go down in history as Charles the Great if your a bad guy.
This is not indicative of the baby's potential name. Mike doesn't even like the name Charles. It's also not indicative of the gender, as far as we know. (We'll find out the gender in ~8 weeks.)
All this to say, if you see posts tagged Charlemagne, now you know why.
